Cycle Sensor: Installation (CS1PH1-2HP or CS1PH3-15HP)

(Lock out feature: To lock or unlock adjustment settings, hold up and down buttons at the same time.)

Step 1: Mount the pump control in the desired location and wire the unit according to the appropriate wiring diagram on the following pages. Make sure all local, state, and national electrical codes are followed.

Apply power to the unit as per diagram.

Step 2: Setting the Current Adjustment - Insure that all water valves are closed, so that the pump will be pressurizing the tank when operating. The system needs to be running at the lowest amps or flow possible. Press and hold the "Manual Reset" button and observe the number that is being displayed by the pump control. This number represents the amp-draw of the motor multiplied by the power-factor. You will need to multiply this number by .95 to determine the set point.

Release the "Manual Reset" button and press and hold the "Current Adjust" button. The display will show the present Current Adjust setting. Modify this number to match the above calculated set point by pressing either the "Up" or "Down" button. Release all of the buttons when this step is completed.

Note- If the pressure switch shuts the pump down before completing this step, you will need depressurize the system by opening a valve, and repeat the process.

Step 3: To View the Dry Run Restart Delay Setting, push and hold the "Restart Delay" button. The display will show the number of minutes the pump will be off before automatically resetting from a dry run condition. To change this number, press either the "Up" or "Down" button until the display matches the desired restart delay setting. Release all buttons. "000" is manual reset only.

Step 4: Observe the operation of the system, insuring that the pump control is set correctly. If the pump control is too sensitive, reduce the "Current Adjust" setting by repeating Step 2. If the well will pump dry, insure that the pump control will shut the pump down when it breaks suction for 10 seconds. If the pump control does not shut down when the pump breaks suction, increase the under current setting by holding the "Current Adjust" button and pushing up button. Repeat this step until set.
