NSF Standards and California Proposition 65

Cycle Stop Valves conform to NSF standards even though they do not have the NSF stamp. The NSF stamp will not make the product any safer, it would only serve to increase the cost to the consumer. Much controversy still exist about California's proposition 65. Proposition 65 is less about protecting the public and more about lawyers lining their pockets at the expense of manufacturers who must pass on this cost to the consumer. It is interesting that municipal water systems are exempt from Prop 65. If the water system for an individual home cannot use any products with lead or other toxic chemicals, why is it then acceptable for municipal water systems to use toxic products?

For extra cost, there are now Cycle Stop Valves that comply with California law.
